The bibles costs are subsidized by HBOI and Lifeway Christian Resources; then sponsored by Mission Grounds and distributed to the various outreach programs by Mike Nelson and The Square Meal Deal. So from Mike they are receiving food for both the soul and body.

HBOI functions as a Bible Society to facilitate the distribution of the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) and to provide affordable Bibles and scripture portions for the purpose of evangelism, and ministry. It was determined that a subsidized model, through gifts and contributions, would allow HBOI to price its Bible products in a way that will make Scripture more affordable for ministries, organizations, and churches. HBOI has the passion and vision of the President of LifeWay Christian Resources, Thom Rainer, who has called for action concerning the urgency of evangelism, a need for Biblical truth, the importance of the Church, and the cry for relevance. HBOI supports its mission with income from two sources; Bible Sales and donations from individuals that feel called to reach people around the world with God's Word for the cause of Christ. There are currently 4 bibles you can purchase for a dollar and in the future there will be 3 Spanish bibles you can purchase for $2.00. This price will include distribution to your ministry or church of choice.

We have several outreach programs we currently support that you can designate for your bible purchase. Our purchase for your own church or ministry.

The Square Meal Deal was started in 2005 by Mike Nelson as a means to feed the thousands of homeless people in Metro Atlanta. His ministry is mainly focused on food distribution. He takes the excess food from the regional high end grocery stores; converts them into meals and then distributes them to the various ministries who are on the street working with those people in the most need. The Square Meal Project Vision: Our vision is to locate, organize, encourage, train and support groups that will commit to regularly making and delivering highly nutritious sack lunches and hot meals to hungry people. Our goals include providing information and training on:

  • Food Safety
  • Food Preparation Methods
  • Nutrition
  • Recipes

We can also provide assistance to our groups to help them connect with ministries and other service organizations in their areas, or the areas the group would like to serve, that are already directly engaged in feeding the hungry. http://www.therealmikenelson.com/TSMP_vision.html

The Call

“ When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me, 36 and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail, you visited me."

37 Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, "When did we give you something to eat or drink? 38 When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear 39 or visit you while you were sick or in jail?"

40 The king will answer, "Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me. Matthew 25:35-40 CEV
