To make the world a better place by helping the impoverished, and forgotten children.
The mission team is currently composed of Rick Sample, David and Jennifer Jones, Carol and Boake Moore, and Tom Loach. We not only have a great love for missions but a special fondness for children. It is all our prayers that we are able to help thousands and thousands of children through the sale of Mission Grounds Coffee.
We knew many people would buy the coffee at least once to help children. Our goal was to have such a great coffee that people would buy it the second and third time because its quality and flavor. If we can accomplish that, think how rewarding would it be to know that your coffee habit is helping thousands of children everywhere while satisfying your desire for some of the finest coffees in the world.
Many of our coffees are Fair Trade Coffees and as such, help the coffee farmers on the wholesale side by paying a fair wage which is a wonderful idea. We have taken it to the next level and are donating all our retail profits to children as well as meeting the Fair Trade Guidelines on the back end.

Our overhead only contains the costs to get the coffee to the store and to display it properly. At the current time no employees are receiving salaries of any kind.
Overhead expenses are less than 5% of the costs and 100% of the profit are going to children. Please rest assured almost half of the cost of your coffee is going directly to support children throughout the world. Furthermore, by buying from small local farmers and paying them a fair price for their beans, we are able to help the children by pouring money into the local economy. But most of all, because we are working directly with the missionaries on the ground, we get maximum benefit from the dollars we raise!
Since our inception in late 2005 till Feb 2007 we have donated $21,800 to children around the world. The bulk of this money has gone to building the orphanage in Barquismeto. This orphanage will hopefully be completed in early 2010. We have also provided support to:
- Russia - an HIV clinic for babies and 5 orphanages in St. Petersburg
- Indonesia - provided baby formula to babies in Hac,Indonesia
- Kenya and South Africa - Support for an Orphanages
New Projects for 2010
- The Atlanta Cafe - where homeless children eat. We will be working with Turnaround Ministries to rescue children off the streets in Atlanta and then to feed and support these children. We currently are helping to support 21 children who have been rescued off the streets of Atlanta over the past few months. With your support we can expand this ministry.
