Atarrazú is the Indian word for “rocky ground at the mouth of the mountain”. Known today as Tarrazu, this region is located in the central pacific of Costa Rica and has been recognized to produce one of the great gourmet coffees of the word. Most recently the verity of origin has become of great concern, but we also pay close attention to cup’s quality. Our CAfe' comes 100% from small farms in this region; owned and managed by growers who’ve become our friends & associates. We visit them and help them improve cropping practices. They share our standards of excellence and we recognize their hard work by paying them fair prices for their crop. The result is remarkable.
